She wandered slowly through the forest away from her fellow career tributes, she was on the look out for a place to set up camp whilst the others looked for food. She came across a meadow, Kristen closed her eyes and pictured it in it’s prime, when all the flowers would be in full bloom and the grass would be soft and bright green instead of the brittle brown mess it was now. She heard the sound of a twig cracking underfoot behind her. She ignored it, thinking it was one of her group following her, trying to help. That was until she heard a low growling behind her and turned to see something she’d hoped she’d never have to see.
A mutt. She bolted to her right into the forest and tried not to scream.
